Money exchange and cashing traveler cheques is a very easy process in the region of Halkidiki. Visitors can exchange their currency in most banks, travel agents or high end hotels at a rate that is usually posted out-front for everyone to see. Greek banks are open for the public from 8:00 to 14:30 Mondays to Thursdays and from 8:00 to 13:30 on Fridays. They are closed on Public Holidays. A passport is required when exchanging currencies.

- Numerous ATM's can be found all over the Nea Propontida.
- Credit cards are accepted in hotels, restaurants and camping sites.
There are pet friendly hotels, camping facilities and studios. Dogs are allowed on the beach as long as they have health certification and they remain under the custody of the owner.

Tap water is safe to drink although bottled water is recommended in some areas.
