Dionysiou - Attractive beaches

Thousands of local and foreign tourists opt for Dionysiou beach, the attractive, long beach of namesake village, which features a modern street plan. The villagers here originate from the Canakkale in Asia Minor. The village took its name from the buildings that existed in the area and belonged to the Monastery of Dionysiou, on Mount Athos. In 1974, following a distribution of land, several residents moved downwards, to the beach of the village, where they built the coastal settlement.
