Nea Potidea

At the bridge of the Potidea isthmus one can enjoy the splendid sightseeing of both the Thermaic and the Toroneos Gulf.

Walking along the canal streets of Nea Potidea, one can see the partition of the ancient town next to the canal.

Nea Potidea beach

It’s pulled up against a wide canal which separates the peninsula from mainland Greece. However, it’s the sandy beach that catches the eye here. It’s on the east side of town and unravels for around 5 km. It has all kinds of restaurants, bars and facilities for water sports. You’ll also find a few smaller bays on the west side – the harbour’s here, too. It’s the second beach in Nea Propontida that is awarded the Blue Flag eco-label award. It also provides lifeguard services.
